My Yoga Teaching Philosophy

I was drawn to yoga 12+ years ago when I experienced amazing benefits of practicing yoga on my mental and physical health. This inspired me to pursue yoga teacher trainings. I wanted to be able to offer these powerful practices to other people. My teaching philosophy holds a mission of promoting holistic well-being, resilience, connection, and self-compassion. I teach in English and Norwegian and offer my yoga services remotely or in-person in the Oslo area.

Benefits of Yoga & Mindfulness Practice

We know from research that practicing yoga and mindfulness has several physical and psychological benefits. Physical benefits may include enhanced strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility and reduced back pain and tension. Psychological benefits may include lower levels of depression, stress, and anxiety, improves sleep quality, and increased levels of emotion regulation, parasympathetic nervous system activation (what makes us feel calm), and positive emotions. In other words, yoga practice is good for our well-being!
