Exploring “Feminine Yoga”: Intuition, Softness & Community

This past weekend, I immersed myself in a “feminine yoga” training at Studio Mā here in Oslo. And this was an experience that left me both inspired and deeply reflective.

Unlike traditional yoga approaches that can sometimes emphasize structure and precision, “feminine yoga” is about something else entirely. It’s about intuition, fluidity, and allowing the body to lead rather than being forced into rigid forms. It’s a practice that nurtures rather than demands, offering space to move with, rather than against, the natural rhythms of life.

I love this quote that the teachers shared with us during this immersion.

What We Explored

Throughout the training, we delved into several themes that felt both expansive and deeply personal:

✨ Yoga for the female body – Understanding how to practice in a way that honors the body’s natural shifts and cycles.

✨ How yoga supports women through different cycles, seasons, and life transitions – Exploring how movement, breath, and rest can be adapted to different phases of life.

✨ Yoga, feminism, and breaking generational patterns – Reflecting on the role of yoga in self-liberation, empowerment, and healing inherited beliefs or limitations.

✨ Holding space in women’s circles and creating ceremonies – Learning how to foster connection and create intentional, supportive spaces for shared experiences.

These topics only scratched the surface. There’s so much more to learn, integrate, and explore. A weekend wasn’t nearly enough time, and I know this will be a lifelong journey of discovery.

Bringing This Into My Own Practice

As I continue to process and absorb and integrate what I’ve learned, I’m excited to weave these insights into my personal practice, my teaching, and the spaces I create.

One of the aspects I’m most looking forward to is holding women’s circles—bringing together community, ritual, and movement in a way that feels deeply nourishing.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts! My email and Instagram DMs are open, as always.

And if you’re curious about joining a women’s circle with me in Oslo, send me a message to let me know! I’ll make sure that you’ll get the invitation first 💫
